Complete

by: Maral Maljian

A tender cool midnight breeze,
Rushes through the salty seas.
Raging waves coming from all over lands,
Prepare to surrender to endless sands.
In our eyes, the bright moon shines a luminous ray.
There we sit, not ready to leave longing to stay.
Never in my life have I felt this complete.
Though the cold breeze blows, I feel your warm heart beat.

It's getting late darling, we must bid good-bye.
Let's meet again under this same starry sky.
Night passes into day and the sun has come to burn.
I see you again, you haven't failed to return.
You know what you can do with one glance dear?
You can make all my lonliness disappear.
I have never in my life felt this complete.
In your eyes I see your love's heat.

It was our first night by the sea-
When you surrendered your love to me.
It is also when I submitted to your desire.
It's the spark that starts our love's fire.
Whenever I long to be with you I walk through the seas sands.
That was where we looked into each other's eyes and held hands.
The cold emptiness is gone, now exists our love's heat.
It's because our hearts are fulfilled, and finally complete.

History of Poem: This poem was written this year (1996) to be honest I don't know exactly when. It hasn't been submitted for publication or competitions. The reason for this is its length. It's a little too long.
