You Haven't Changed

by: Maral Maljian

You were the only one we had.
You brought misery and made us sad.
Your selfish ways made us see-
That you never wanted to set us free.
There was a bit of hope, for some time.
But you still haven't corrected your crime.
You haven't changed, after all this, you are still the same.
That's why you're loosing us, we aren't playing your game.

We were away from you, our hearts were yearning.
We wanted to stop our souls from burning.
You made a mistake, so we thought you would understand.
We were ready to forgive with open hearts and hands.
I felt the hope, for a bit of time.
Even though you haven't corrected your crime.
But you haven't changed, after all this you are still the same.
So we are detatching ourselves from you, this isn't a game.

We have had enough, we have called a checkmate.
Who knows, maybe it's the desire of fate.
You were the only one we had, life gives you only one.
I will look to someone else to correct what you have done.
You don't exist anymore, there is no hope.
I'm living with it now, I'm able to cope.
You never changed, you always stayed the same.
That's why we're gone, you've lost your own game.
